KIWI SPORT

Today for kiwi sport we learn a new skill called back hand lift. We work it out with Kevin.
But we did a warm up game called stuck on the mud. And we move on our other learning for kiwi sport.

Hello Charlize,

Your work looks excellent,I have answered some of your questions but some of them were a bit difficult.The 2nd question was ,Max has 8 pies he buys 14 more how many pies altogether.

The answer would be 21 because

8+14= 21

The 3rd question was Jake drank 4 quarters of 12 water bottle how many water bottles were left.

The Answer would be 8 because

12-4=8.

Some of the other Questions were a bit harder so i only got 2 right.

Well done Charlize I think you done a good job because you change some of the hard maths too make it even more harder.

Last week Mr Ogilvie,Maths groups had to work with a partner to create a DLO.
Our DLO was going to be a quiz for people to answer questions on when we blog it.

But this week we had to comment on peoples maths questions.We had to answer them and figure out a way of how to solve them.
Some of these Questions were Easy and some were not.

My partner was Liane and we had to comment on someones Blog post.
We had chosen to work on Charlize's Maths quiz.

Her Questions were a bit hard but some were quite easy to solve.
Nearly me and my partner thought that some of them were right.

Some of these question were Subtraction,Multiplication,Addition and fractions.
Some of the results were a bit confusing but the quiz was excellent. 

We also Had to make a Google document to explain our example of what we did for commenting on another person's blog post.

Three Roles in our Community

LI: To classify personal relationships.
This week for inquiry we had to pick three roles that we have done for inquiry,
we could only pick one role from each of the comuinty services. I went for police, builder, and doctor
we had to make three slides and reseach about what these three roles do.

Recount

On Monday Mr Wong,writing groups went out to the junior playground to compete in the bean bag throw,They had to get into groups of 6.Once they got into a group of 6,They threw the bean bags into 5 holla hoops.The 5 holla hoops were there as a score of 1-2 points.

The green holla hoops were 1 point-and the middle holla hoop is 2 points.
Then each person in the group takes and turn.

2 people were in charge of taking photo's.
We also had to explain what we did on a google doc.
We had to explain the actions and what we did.

Polices visit

Today after Lunch LS1 and PBS walked across the field to watch the helicopter land and here what the Police had to share about what they do and how they trained there dogs. 
After they had left some other group of police had come to talk about there dog training. 

They brought out only 1 dog while the other dogs were in the cars.This Dog was named Kahu,He is a very fast runner and has been trained to track down the smell.

They also said that he has 42 teeth,I learnt that being a police is a hard job but you have to train to be a good Police trainer so that you can train dogs well.

It was fun seeing and learning how they work to help and rescue and find people that are ever lost,Hert or Bad.

In Kiwi sport we learned how to practice with a Shuttle and a racket.We had done a few tricks of learning how to do this was not to easy.

Trades

LI: To learn what a trade is and what they do

I have made a copy of a slide called trades.
We had an option to choose out of Public transport driver,Builder,Electrician,Plumber,Delivery driver,Food services.

First we had to get into partners then get into a group of 4 or 5.We then had to choose to main topics that we were interested of doing.

My partner was Jonathan we worked on finding websites,Information and facts.
We also had pieces of topic info around the room.

Today for maths i had finished up my Choice squares my topic was Movie's.
I had to mark labels and make a Acsis.

I had to ask all of the people in LS1 most of them chose Horror because horror is fascinating.
There were 22 people who liked Horror and mostly 2 lines that had the same level of movie choice

kiwi can

In the hall we had Kiwi Can,Mrs Latoya and Mr Malu told us a few instructions of what we were going to do.We were going to play Volcano we had also played this game last year.
We had to get into 2 teams 1 Non Bibs and 2 Bibs,While that was happening Mr,Malu and Mrs Latoya had to pick out 5 people from each side to flip over the cones and flip the cones in. 

This game was about Respect and communication with in the teams that were playing.We cheered for those teams that were playing the 1st game. 

Then after the game was finished we had a little talk about how we worked together as a team. 
And how we can communicate with teamwork.

Today for Kiwi Sport Kevin told us that we are going to play a game. The name of the game that we were going to play was Everyone's It there were 2 rounds. We started to get into partners. I was with kaitlyn, kaitlyn was very easy to work with because we got use to being partners so we practise and practice and then we got connected. We had to  use our forehand and backhand but... you still have the same partner. Me and kaitlyn did great with our forehand and backhand. Because she chose backhand because she was better then her forehand and I chose he forehand because it was very easy to hit with. Our second tom last one was that we had to have one person throw the ball and the other person hit it and the person that threw the ball has to catch it again. The last one we did was the same one as a the forehand and backhand Kevin told us later on when we were doing the forehand and backhand that we had to swipe which was really hard for me to hit it so I started to hit it far and high which was really cool for me.

Stick Fighting Game with Mr Wong

Mr. Wong taught  us how to play a game about strategies. We played  the real game after the lesson , we also had an example of how to play.

I won the first round by doing the basics. The second round I won because I was twisting the stick because Mr. Wong told us “There is another way of winning.” And that made me get an basic idea. Te Rangimarie won on the 3rd round by doing the basics. After those rounds we got to battle our teacher Mr. Wong. Our teacher won every round without getting close to losing.

In a middle of a round with Te Rangimarie it was 2:50 so everyone had to get in workspace 1 in LS1, then we got to go home.
