Katherine  (Kate) Sheppard fought for women's rights to vote in NZ. She was born in 1847 in Liverpool,England, but later she moved to NZ with her family.  

BODY PARAGRAPH:

When Kate Sheppard went to NZ she found out that women don’t have the same rights as men. Women were not allowed to vote. They had to ask permission from their husbands or fathers if they wanted to open a bank account or sell a house.

Kate Sheppard got every woman's signatures the first one she tried  in 1891 but it failed then she tried it again in 1892 and it also failed but in 1893. she convinced nearly 32,000 people to sign her petition. This was the Final petition containing so many signatures that it had to be carried to parliament house in a wheelbarrow.

Kate Sheppard fought for women’s she was successful in 1893 because she got 32,000 people to vote for women's right so they voted Kate sheppard to be the president of women’s right to vote. She fought for the women so that they can vote to not just men.

Conclusion:

Kate Sheppard was a wonderful person because she stood for women's rights.

This hugely achievement was won by the hard workers and determination of a number of New Zealanders, including the suffragist Kate Sheppard. Kate and other suffrage activists had to fight against the widely held belief that women should only concern themselves with their homes and families. Many people firmly believe that politics was a man’s world, where women had no place.

Today I read this book about women Fight to vote every women has the rights to vote for their country not just men the women always has to stay home and the men go vote but it is changed women and men can vote.

Tukuaka didn’t waste any time and he went to look for this guardian. He listened for the sounds of the reef and swam towards the sound. When he found the entrance to the reef, he saw a great big feke (octopus) waiting for him.

The feke let go of him.

Still to this day, the ‘anga keeps his promise. People of Kamatuvú can go to the ocean to swim or fish and they will not be harmed by any ‘anga.

Today we did a legend it is about the dragons eye lake it is fun to do we are doing this for our inquiry we are doing it about a dragon who protected Rogoznica. he always wanted a bride  they got married but they died after the wedding and this one girl did not want to get married so this one guy want duel with the dragon he grabbed pegasus and a spear and put moon dust on it. throw it and it hit the dragons heart and the dragon ripped his eyes out and throw one of them the other way one of them rolled and made a dragons eye lake.

Kia Ora Today we did Ki O Rahi we won one game and lose to the other groups the teams names are Room one A to B and Rm Five A to B it was fun to play I like playing Ki O Rahi, the reason why we didn't win on the second round is because the boys weren't there they had to go for there camp meeting for year eight they lift on the first round and we won that game but the second one, we lost because our team won't contribute in the game we told them to play but they didn't run at all so me And moui cared out the game when the boy weren't there we kept on get five pins and we kept on losing, it it was fun to play Ki O Rahi the time we played was 9:17 And we had to wait for room One we got into 4 groups. the groups names are called group A to B for both calls it was fun to play Ki O Rahi.

              A Story About The Lockdown Part 1

Paragraph One

This is a story about the lockdown that no one has ever seen one but heard of one but it happened in the year 2020 this was boring staying at home but. we want to go to school but we have to wait until the lockdown is over. It nearly happened a year but it might finish in June or July. Everybody has to stay at home for the lockdown you can play outside in the back but you can not go in the front but if there are no cops around.

This is a story about me in the lockdown. and my siblings go out back and go and play fun games and the games that we play are exercise games but it was. tiring and the games were running around the whole backyard about 4 times the next game was the challenge it was fun we. my sister hinemoa first Taha we did was Taha Tinana it was press-ups we did 20 press-ups it was sore but then we got through it. Then me and my sister did some pull-ups we did 40 pull-ups it was very hard and tiring then the next taha was taha hinengaro we did meditate for 40 minutes it was fun. doing meditate so after that we did taha wairua me and my sister said to our neighbours "hi how are you today" we said to them and they said " hi I am great how are you "  they said and me and my sister said. " we are fine today" then we moved on to taha whanau so after a big talk with our neighbours. then our nan came outside and told us to go and make ema and tanei lunch and we did we made noodle's or scrambled eggs it was fun we were full after that then we told ema and tanei to go outside so we can clean up and go and study for our homework that we do online it was very fun.

This is a story of my family serving the lockdown. my nan and uncle go and get money and they go and spend it on food and their lollies and then they bye heaps as of food right now our cupboard is full right to the max.but it always is empty in 3 days because me and my siblings eat too much but then my nan goes and get more with my uncle's and they get. more and if they have more money they get double and they come home and call out for me and hinemoa to come and get the shopping our uncle helps my nan and we help her ohh and also me and my sister's and brothers being naughty. we all were so my nan can't wait until the lockdown is over so we can go to school but also my nan hate getting up at 5:00 am in the morning that why she likes the school holidays so she don't wake up early hours morning she wants to sleep in until 10:00. but she gets up at 7:00 she wants to sleep for ages but she can't because ema and tanei wakes her up she gets sick of it and she tells them to be quiet or they have to go to bed but they don't listen they still moan in the morning and so my nan tells them to go. to bed and they do go to bed but then they keep being annoying will we are sleeping they wake us up and we get angry and start yelling at them. we go back to sleep and they still wake us up so we get up and go into the lounge and then the two kids follow us and when we just sat down. they start yelling and playing in the rooms and we tell them to stay in the lounge they don't listen so we smack them and they scream and our nan wakes up and grows them and tells them to go outside and they do but 1 mini later ema or tanei starts crying because one of them starts hitting or one of them starts chasing after one and other and then one of them comes in and tells nan all the time.

it must be boring staying in the lockdown when the lockdown is over and people go to work and the kids go to school it would be fun for some nana uncles and aunts they will have 6 hours of rest from us it will be fun to go back to work or for the kids, it will be fun to go back to school it will be fun to be normal not in a lockdown we want it to be normal we have been in a lockdown for long and it is boring for some people but the other people like staying home because they can play games Fortnite, etc....

but it might be fun if you stop what you are doing and go and play outside or you can help with the cleaning with your family and help them if they need something that they can't reach and they need us to help them if they are sick and no one is at home and they are gone to work or they are gone to go and get some food for the house and it is hard to carry everything to the car. so they have to grab an extra person to help them and if you are home alone then you can keep your mum dad anyone company until your older sisters or brothers get back to look after ur mum or dad then ask ur family if they need any help packing or cleaning it will be good for u and it will be a great help for ur family and it will be a big help for u.

LAVA NARRATIVE: DAY 1

Begin Writing Here:

Once upon a time there was a volcano. He was all alone and watching the couples play around him and he wished he could have someone to lava. He sings a song every year and everyday because he wants some to hear him so he can be a couple with someone and love her with all his heart. He watches the whales play and jump out of the water and splash when they go back in the water. They make the biggest splash ever and they like playing around with their friends and they like jumping and showing off in front of us humans but it is normal for whales to do it. Volcanos live all around the earth some are doormond some are extinct some are alive and healthy they do not explode only if there is an injection of mantel inside the earth it will be hard for some people to run away. From  the lava so we have to go to a different country we will have to go where there is no lava coming out and when the lava stops then we can come back home and we have to leave the lava until someone with a big strong digger moves it. The volcano watches the clouds and it shows  the volcano that the clouds are a couple. He watches them every day and year and he sings the same song. It is about hope and love. He just wants someone to be there with him and love him and care for him and he might want her so they can be together and so he doesn't be lonely every year he just wants someone to love in his lonely life.

I had to do this for today it was fun too do it I hope you can do this to On the last 4 slides I did verses it was hard to find the bible on my google site, and I found the right one I found psalm 1:44 but I only got up to psalm 9:13 it was fun.

TAHA HINENGARO

today I will be doing a taha challenge and it was fun it was meditation we did it for 3 minutes I thought it was tiring I hate it when I am tired I fall asleep in class and it is boring sleeping because everyone will hear you sleep and they will hear you snore if you snore in your sleep.

what I felt in meditation for 3 minutes?

The first thing I felt is tree everywhere and I was in a forest and there were animals and birds bees bugs and also there was water flowing in the river there was a waterfall flowing down the cliffs I was walking towards the cliffs and jumped off of it. It was scary but I landed in the water and On elephant it became my best friend we went playing were the tigers are and it nearly ran away but we said we are not going to hurt you we just want to play I am in the biggest forest ever and I have never been in one my whole life I said to the tiger.

That is the end of my meditation it was fun doing it for 3 minutes.

today I will be doing a Taha challenge it is the last one it is called Taha Hinengaro we have been doing the last four the last 4 days it is fun I got all of my ones finished and I just need to get the last one up and then I will be finished all of them if you were a yr 7-8 at Point England School then you will have to do it. it is fun for us we can do it and if you were in my class it is silents because we are aloud to talk but we are silent because we don't want to talk we haven't been talking ever since 9:00 it is fun when they are not talking because we can get our work done this is the 22 of may and we it is school so come back to school it is 22 come back next week. even though it has changed it is still safe and the same so we encourage you to come back to school it is safe for you to come to school all of your mates are hear or they are at home don't copy your mates and want you to follow yourself and come to school it is safe because we can help you come back to school Point Englanders it is fun.

1. I am grateful of my family because during the lockdown they have help me with my homework and wake us up to go on to our meets and wakes us up for school.
2. I am greatful for is food because my nan goes to the shops everyday just to get enough food for all of us.
3. I am greatful of my nan taking care of me and taking me in with my siblings.
4. I am greatful for my family they always show me and my siblings kindness i love them so much.

TAHA TINANA DINNIER RECIPE

this is a quick and easy way how to make a dinner and healthy I hop you like it.

INGREDIENTS

6 large sweet potatoes, scrubbed clean

1 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil Kosher salt

1/2 c. milk

1/4 c. sour cream

4 tbsp.  melted butter

1 1/2 c. shredded Monterey Jack, divided

1 c. black beans, rinsed and drained

2 green onions, thinly sliced, plus more for garnish

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 c. quartered grape tomatoes 

1 avocado, cubed

1 small jalapeño, sliced into rounds

1/4 c. crumbled queso fresco

TAHA TINANA BREAKFAST

This is going to be a healthy yummy breakfast you could make this for you at home this might be a short recipe for you to make at home or it could be long but it is alright to make at home I would make it at home but I can't because we don't have the ingredients for us to make it.

Ingredients

• 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
• 1 cup milk
• 1 cup water
• generous pinch of salt
• 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
• 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
• drizzle of honey or maple syrup
• TOPPINGS: chopped pecans sliced almonds, berries, raisins, bananas, etc..

• He is cute and warm hearted.

• He is so messy and when we have mcdonald’s he eats all of his and goes and eats ours all up.

•  When he comes to my nan’s house he goes into my uncle’s room and plays fortnite and he is very good. He knows how to shoot on fortnite and when he is finished he comes and plays outside with me so I can pick him up and run and we play zombie games with him.

• He love’s play gun games and he tells me to come and play with him.

• He has no sisters or brother; he is thy only child.

• He likes what my  4 year old cousin has and they start fighting.

This is my part 2 of lockdown 

I am telling a story about another part of the lockdown. It must be boring for us but let me tell you a story. How to enjoy the lockdown for example? u need to help or you can play with ur family outside u can spend some time with them it will be fun u can play any sports with ur family just don't. stay inside it will be boring just play with ur family they will like the company it will be fun for u and ur family, go out with them If they ask u if u want to go the shops say yes if they say if u want to go to the park or something like that say yes so u can, spend more time with them and so they don't be alone it will be sad they would like to play with u and spend heaps of time with u before start back, at work and they might all day until night or it is alright if they stay at work in the night time because u can spend some time with them and then when they come back and u 
are asleep they will come.  into your room and kiss, u and they will say love u and good night see u in the morning and when it comes to the morning u go and see ur mum or dad and u run, up to them and hug them and u say I love them and then kiss them on the cheeks and they will say I love to can we go out or can we go outside.  play some sports if ur mum or dad say later don't look sad alright see u later love u can we play rugby or touch or soccer or volleyball later, please yes my boy or girl either one it will be alright if she or he is tired then you can play with them before they go to work and u can.

This is the way to enjoy spending time with your family for example? if u want to spend time with them then help your family clean the dishes and clean the whole house with them then u can, play games with ur family anything that u or your parents want to play any games or they can go out with you it will be fun to go out with them you will love, going out with them it will be fun going out and spending a lot of time with them it will be better for u to get off of your bum and stop playing games on ur computer and ur PS4 just go play outside don't let, your mum or dad says  just go outside it will be fun to play outside with your siblings u can play heaps of games with them u can learn heaps of stuff from your siblings for high school or something that u want to be if, u want to be like ur siblings then they will tell u everything that they learn at the work that they go to or for high school they will tell u about it they will help u with ur homework for high school u will see what sibling are for, the older one or the little one can keep u company if u get it wrong they can say it is alright if u miss A number and it is alright if u do not know ur maths And you will say ohh thank u I love u. I love u too do u want to, play outside with me, please ok then u were there for me with my homework I will play with u what game do u want to play u can pick anything u want u choose the game I will play it with u can we play rugby sure thing let me get the rugby ball. when u come back we will start and u say I will kick first and ur little brother or sister will say ok see u when u come back u can, go and see if they grab it yet it will be fun once u get back u can kick, ur little brother or sister grabs it then they will run it up to ur big brother or sister and if they let u get the touch down it is because they love u. they care about u and they don't want to get hurt they want u nice and healthy they just love u with all their hearts if u get in a fight then they will stop it and they will take care of u and take u to the sickbay and they will help u, they will say it is alright if u lost because I love and I don't want u to get hurt.

This is how u can enjoy the lockdown u can go outside with ur family or u can do something fun with yourself or u can do something fun with ur family u can anything u want, to do with ur family if u want you can choose a game for u and ur family to play or one the people that u are playing with they can choose one after u or they can choose before u even choose that why u need friends. u can be happy it will be fine if u don't have any friends at all then u can play with ur family just don't go and play inside then u will be boring ur, family would want u to love yourself and your family you have to think about u and the family they will say we love u all u will be in my heart and I love u I will look after u I will never ever let something bad happen to u If someone, has taken u I will never love myself because of them letting u I will go and hunt them down and put them in jail, ok I will find whoever taken u I will put them straight in jail for u and I will love u if anything happens to u I will, never live with myself do u understand me never go out on the streets at night times because they will put the lockdown for long they will put it for another week and it will be boring we want to go to work and that and we, want u to go back to school we love u but I want a rest every 5 days for 6 hours.

Let me tell you how you can enjoy playing with ur pets if you don't have anyone else to play with u can play with your pets u can take them for a walk around the Panmure basin or you can take the dog or cat somewhere you want to take them or you can play with them at, home it will be better you can do heaps of stuff even you can teach your pets new stuff to do and new tricks to do if you get bored at home then you can play with your pets it is alright if you don't have one then you can play by yourself I do I play by myself because my sisters and brother, always stay inside that's why  I play by myself if my brother or sisters not outside then I play the games that they like and so they play with me but if I don't play then they will try and make me play but I say no thanks I am tired and I don't want to play but I will play later, they will say you are a boring sister and I say why am I boring to you what do you want from me and they say I want you to play with me and I say no I don't want to I will play later on go somewhere else that what I say to them because they always hit me with the ball so I hit them 10 times harder, they say  te rangimarie I am telling on you and I say I don't care okay so leave me alone or I will tell nan the truth that you started it because will not play with you so leave me alone with the cat I want to play with my cat the color when it is dark it is black but when it goes in the light it goes brown and the name is smokey and she is very playful that why she is annoying at, knight times she wakes me up and it is very very annoying once I grab her by the neck but then once I felt it I went to the bottom part of the can and took it to my nan's bed while she is asleep and I go back to bed but in the day time she is very playful she is cute.

Just love going back to school. When you get used to school you will love school like I do it is the best. We learn more and get a good Education for work and be at school at the right time. That's what my teacher always says.
